Here's something that came in. Maybe someone in the LA area could help
him. Jeff? ;-)

Subject: Tesla Coil Needed for Art Exhibition in Los Angeles

Dear Tesla Coil Enthusiasts,

I am writing to see if you or your company would be interested in helping
with an upcoming art exhibition next month that requires a working Tesla
Coil. The exhibition is titled "Tokyo Nonsense" and will feature new work by
eleven young Japanese artists. The exhibition will open to the public on
October 4th at the non-profit art space SCION Installation (
http://www.scion.com/space/) in Culver City, California and closes on
October 25th.

One of the featured artists, the group CHIMPOM, is interested in creating an
art installation in which electricity is created by one's libido (a twist on
the search for an alternative energy source). In order to achieve this, the
artists want to connect a Tesla Coil to a cell phone, and every time the
cell phone receives a call, it will trigger the Tesla Coil to generate
enough electricity to light two florescent bulbs. We will advertise the cell
phone number in a personal ad in various print and online sources (LA
Weekly, Craigslist, etc.), and calls from the public will act to trigger the
installation. The Tesla Coil does not need to be large, and the arcs need
only be 3 feet in length.

If possible, we would like to feature your Tesla Coil at our exhibition and
also ask for your help overseeing a one-time demonstration of the apparatus.
In exchange for your assistance, we would be happy to place an advertisement
for your company and its products in our full-color catalogue that will
accompany the exhibition. Your company will also be acknowledged as a
sponsor of the exhibition on the title wall in the gallery. Although our
budget is very limited, we may also be able to provide you with a small
rental fee for your services.

I hope you will consider helping us with this project, and look forward to
hearing from you soon. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you
may have.
