I had exactly the same thing happen to me.

Firstly, the arcs from the secondary are not harmless, and do your body no
real good.

With that in mind, it's now 2 weeks since I got the shock, and I still seem
to be working OK.

I wouldn't make a habit of it, but the odd shock from the *secondary* is
not detrimental. 
The primary on the other hand carries way more current, and I would not
want to get anything from that.

The biggest danger from secondary emmissions is where the streamer touches
you, and the primary, at the same time. This opens up a conduction path
from the primary to you - and has been known to be fatal.
