RE: [TCML] pole pigs from Gustav

Hello friends in the storm ravaged areas,

I seriously hope you faired well!

It would be cool if the obviously dead pigs could be resurrected by us with
flushing the pig and vacuum, high temp re-oil.

I would not approach any of these without dropping a 2" pipe stuck in the
mud to make sure the primary stays at ground at a power up attempt pulse.

I don't know what happens to these pigs after a horrible event like this.

In California, they use a cradle to the grave based on serial number. After
our last big flood, there was a 16kv delta pig half submerged in the mud, no
connections, which was washed across the Freeway. I was wishing I had my old
Jeep with a winch! (lost in the mud somewhere for inventory
explanations...;-^)

I never said it was live. It was abandoned. I saved it from a life of rust
and decay.
