Usually wound in opposing directions, base to end.

Be sure to use JAVATC to set coeff. of coupling to around 0.12.  This will
probably dictate the elevation of sec coil approx 2" above the primary
plane, but it also depends on your
pri to sec spacing.  Use JAVATC as if you are making a single vertical coil.
