RE: [TCML] noise & heat

i used a 2in by 10in secondary coil
for the topload i made a 6in by 1in toroid
to power it i used a 2000v 1000w MOT with two halogen light bulbs to current limit it
i just had on some ear muffs
and it was definitely coming from the spark gap
and also what else can i use to current limit the MOT cause those bulbs get very hot and they are very bright
Thanks heaps,

And you could hear it from so far away is that normal, also the spark gap heated up very quick and to an extreme temp that it melted the two bolts i was using in about 15 seconds of running and well thats when it stopped.
