[TCML] Tesla's Colorado Springs Labs

[I'm getitng a bit off 'practical coiling', so,
 at moderator Discretion....]

All the references I have seen give the location as 'near
Foote & Kiowa Streets'. That's a bit over a mile from
'220 East Bijou'. The exact location is a bit lost:
History says the lab building itself was destroyed (some
say burnt) roughly 1902 after Tesla left. The usual location
given is off the (then) Colorado Springs street grid, in
   whats now a residential neighborhood.
    (I've been there. 8)>>)
There is (was? its been years) a historical marker
'in a park nearby'. East Pike's Peak St if i recall.

All the histories I have seen report Tesla's CS Springs
lab as burnt, or torn down for salvage, ca 1902.

> and rebuilt to be a state building that supports challenged teens

He's been dead near 60 years, he lived at a hotel in
Colorado Springs, while there: his lab was a mile or
    so East...

The written record has the lab a mile or so east.

> next door to what appeared to be a tavern--and the older guys there
> STILL REMEMBER when it was Tesla's laboratory.
     in 1899/1900?
That would make the 'older guys' 108 years old....

The airplane, and the hangar to house it, were invented
invented in 1903. I gues balloon sheds existed....
Tesla's Colorado Springs Notes and other sources describe
his CS Lab as built for him, to his requirements, a mile
      or so east...

      best
