Yes, they don't make sense.

Targeting the loaded resonant frequency to match that of
the original straight wire of the secondary is not useful,
although you do end up with a coil loaded by a large topload
which is probably desirable for other reasons.

Use JavaTC.  It's the only coil calculator that takes all the
relevant physics properly into account.
