Re: [TCML] Pairing two separate coils of different powers

So we went ahead with the experiment and put the coils within striking distance of one another. You were right. Most of the time the streamers didn't want to touch and would just kind of inter-mingle, but every once and a while they would hook up. If anyone would like to see the video I'll put the URL at the bottom of this message. These are small coils powered by NST's. Like I said, one a 9000/20ma w/ a static gap, and the other a 15000/60 w/ a RSG. Both of us (A friend and myself) are new to coiling, these two coils are our first attempts at this rewarding hobby and definitely won't be our last. I have learned a lot since I started my coil, but it seems the more I learn the more questions I have. Thanks to everyone for all your input on this and other subjects. I am very thankful for this mailing list and all of your polite, punctual, thorough and informative answers. keep it up, Norm
