Re: [TCML] Odd side effect--from a coil?

St. Elmo's Fire is the corona given off of some tall objects like ship's
masts when the atmosphere is heavily charged and can happen right before a
lightning strike. People getting struck by lightning sometimes report of a
tingly feeling or even sparks from the fingers right before the strike. It
also appears around the sharp edges or points of a grounded conductor that
is just out of striking distance of a Tesla coil.

oh and the St. Elmo's fire that old timer was describing was really some
form of ball
lightning as he described it. Best wishes to all and may still more
mysteries unravel before our eyes.
