Re: [TCML] Winding my Secondary

Miles, is your 4.5" form a little larger than 4.5" diameter? This could cause the discrepancy. To counter this, always get more than you think you need. But, the 2" won't matter much at all in performance. Your h/d is 4.44 with the shorter 20" length and that's perfectly fine. If I were you, I would go with it and put new numbers into the program to readjust for the 20" length.

Bart

Hi All,

I came up short on wire for whatever reason; it is what it is. I have a 4.5" coil form with 20" of windings. My plan was for 22" and suspect the spool of wire was not 1500'. Anyway, my question is should I go through the trouble of splicing and continuing to complete my plan or cut the form down 2" and go back JavaTC and redo my plan? What would you do?

Best Regards,
Miles
