RE: [TCML] Cutting Garolite disk

Hi Joe,

The best way (without resorting to a Lathe), is using a circle cutting jig and a router. This works extremely well. Jasper Tools makes two sizes, one is good up to 7.5" DIA, and other is good up to 18" DIA I believe. I have both. I use them up to 0.75" DIA Birch Aircraft Plywood which is just as (if not more) tough than garolite for cutting.

Jasper Tools makes them.

You them to make PERFECT secondary end caps, circular holes, and everything else. I use them exclusively to cut bulkheads, motor mounts for high power rocketry.

Ok,
So I'm making a srsg and I am convinced of the primacy of garolite as the material to use for the disk holding the spinning electrodes. But as far as I can tell my sources of garolite will all provide square or rectangular chunks (eg - mcmaster-carr)

What's the best technique to cut a precise circle out of these square pieces?

I don't have a band saw...

Thanks in advance
Joe
