Re: [TCML] RE: 942C current?

I'd be interested in seeing that as well D.C. I'm not in the market for a pulse cap right now but I will be once I have the funds to buy the other components for my next coil, I'm planning on a magnifier this time, and I figure if it is worth doing it is worth doing big...

yes, I have a datasheet which I will email to you as I can't post on the

You can easily run the 5 kVA unit at 10-12 kVA with no problems. You will
need a suitable current reactor to control the current.

       Dr. R,
Yes, please, more info on the pole pig caps! I
have a nice 5 KVA dual bushing 14.4 KV pig just waiting to be put into T/C
service.

What cost per CD cap are you willing to sell them for?

Also just out of curiosity, how much for the pole transformer capacitors?
Do you have details on that cap anywhere?

Thanks!

We have a large order of MMCs arriving in mid April.

I also have 12 pcs of our .07 uF (70 nF) 80 kV caps for pole transformer
driven coils.

I got a great deal on a used $45,000 foil cap winder, so have been rolling
my own. We now use them in all of our large coils.

Hi everyone,
I was going to order the 942C series cornell dubilier caps (2kV, 0.15uF
http://www.cde.com/catalogs/942C.pdf ), but am now worried that their
current (amps) ratings are too low for my MOT driven coil. Should I order
the more expensive 941C caps (1.2kV, 0.22uF
http://www.cde.com/catalogs/941C.pdf) although their dV/dT ratings
aren't
as good? Does someone know which are better for the high current output
of
MOTs?
Many thanks,
Etienne
