Re: [TCML] primary coil connections



In contrast to what others have suggested - I don't think it matters.  What
does matter is that the outer turns are selected by the tap.  If there were
unused turns on the inside of the primary, there could be enough induced
voltage in the unused turns that it would arc to the secondary.

Now, if the transformer used has one side grounded, then that grounded node
should go to the inside primary connection, just to minimise the stress
between there and the secondary base.  But if you're using a center-grounded
NST, I don't see why it would matter which way the primary was hooked up.
Have I missed something?
