Re: [TCML] Toroid Size



Hi Futuret, Gary,

I remember the last time I ran my coil, I had at least a dozen stubby
streamers crawling around the topload. Although that could be due to the
crinkly Al Ducting... Remembering that, and what you've reminded me, that's
why I wanted a bigger toroid. I am aiming for the long 1-2 streamers. I
think that looks best. If I have to use a breakout point, I can live with
that. As far as proportions and aesthetics go, I think the 24" toroid will
compliment my 24" primary coil well, not too worried about that.
I also want a bit of over-compensation for when I decide to upgrade my
secondary to a 6" and my 15/30 to a 15/60.
Come to think of it, when I'm running a 6" secondary and a 15/60, would the
6"x24" toroid be too small? Especially hearing of your 7"x30" AND 4.5" x
15.5" on a 15/60, that's got me a bit scared... D:
