Scrutiny? It demonstrated how a model can be used to predict the behaviors of electrical behavior in a Tesla Coil and verified via measurement. So of course...

That procedure works very well here for steady state calculations at
full line voltage although the transient behavior with capacitor across
secondary and spark gap discharge can get very complicated and almost
chaotic.
