It is also somewhat derivative.
Polycarbonate is made from the following reactions:
Acetone + Phenol -> Bisphenol A
Bisphenol A + Phosgene -> Polycarbonate

The reason burning it is dangerous is because of the release of toxic
Bisphenol A.

This is  non sequitur. Thousands of compounds are made from methane
monomers, (including the foundations of most life, not all of them are
highly flammable.

"Lexan is polymerized natural gas" and "It burns really well" are sequential
but not consequential.
