I was trying to figure what im drawing from the wall outlet to my NST bank, I don't have a clamp meter.  So I ordered the current transformer along with some panel meters to put on my coil where I plug it in to show voltage and current draw.  I think it's high but have no way to measure over 10amps.  I was going to try 370v 50uf motor run caps for ac units to see if I could improve the power factor.  May just be a waste of time.John cooper

Can someone explain the purpose of these discussions on power factor? Are
we trying to read primary currents or how well the primary and secondary
are exchanging energy?
