Indeed, but it seems they are always DC by design and only (-) polarity. I got two on order i wonder if the output is isolated if i could chain them in series to produce a virtual positive.

from what i see the (+) is usually tied internally to ground or the (+) DC input (odd).

i see a 7KV AC generator but id need to double that to be any use (+/- 3.5KV).

ive secured an old microwave oven so im looking into using the transformer and voltage multipliers but again i see way more current than i need.

what i really need is an older flyback without integrated rectifier diode i wish i kept the one i had :(

Matt,

Ion generators usually have outputs in the milliamp or less range. Would 
probably be just about right for a VDG.
