[TCML] Need a 9-60 non-GFI NST

Hi---

We have a TC that uses three 9kV 60mA NSTs. One of them gave its all recently (actually, it gave its half) and we can't find a replacement. The poor TC only gives out wimpy sparks. Has anyone ever tried using half a xfmr in a parallel arrangement? Seems like it might sort of work halfway, but I thought I should submit the idea to the massed wisdom of the Tesla list first. The more I think about it, the worse the idea seems. Much better just to get a good transformer.

Thanks much.

10 meg 1 watt flameproof work just fine.

Hi: I am looking for a source for 50 pieces of 10 meg MMC bleeder resistors. It seems that 1/2 watt thick film 2000 volts is desirable type. Are lower voltage types safe? And what are other present recommended types? I have tried Mouser and Digikey , but get bewildered using their filters trying to find an available product.

I will be using CD 942C20P1K-F and CD 942C20P15k-F 2000 volt capacitors which I ordered from "Online Components" for $3.22 (.1uf) and $4.18 (.1fuf) each.

Thanks,
