Hi David,

I think how you use the pig is the cause of concern with MMC's. I've 
used my pig even on small coils and with MMC's when I had no other 
choice lying around. However, I of course ballasted way down on the 
current. I personally do prefer smaller transformers for smaller coils. 
The reasons are size, portability, and to prevent overindulgence.

A pole pig does allow one to push the current (it's real easy to go 
overboard). It's kind of like trying to drive a race car down 
residential streets.
