Hi John,

I think RF products still sell new ones, not cheap though. I have Johnson
sockets (getting rare) and 3 tubes socked away for when I get too old to
move the pig iron :-)

There are some 833A vacuum tubes for sale on eBay.  Prices for  some
seem very high considering they're being sold as-is (untested).
 
The 833A tube is good for building a VTTC (vacuum tube tesla coil).  
 
There are a variety of tubes that can be used for building a VTTC.
