Hi All,
 
>From the various reports and measurements, it's clear that:
 
1) Cardboard tubes are very humidity sensitive and should always be dried  
and sealed.
2) Tube materials are not always homogeneous.
3) Some inks are more conductive than others, some not at all.
4) Different manufacturers of tubes use different inks.
5) The same manufacturer may use different inks from different sources in  
different production runs.
 
So:
 
"You pays your money, you takes your chances" or
 
"When it doubt..."
