Well, it's odd. There's got to be a security setting in the options for 
IE, but as there are many, I hate for you to change something. I'm using 
Vista with IE7 and it does bring up the blocker for the file version, 
but once I click "allow", it runs fine. However, I just don't use IE any 
longer unless I'm forced to. The best I can suggest is to use Firefox. 
Free download. Just Google "Mozilla" and you'll find it.
