Steve,
It's the power that increases spark length.? If you install a 12/60 nst,
yes you'll get longer sparks.??To get the most benefit, a larger capacitor and a larger
toroid should be used.? The toroid should be made?40% larger assuming
it's properly sized now.? Your spark length should increase by almost
40%.? I'm assuming your coil overall can handle the higher power and
spark lengths without arc-overs, etc.

My coil currently functions well on a 12kV/30mA NST.
If I were to replace this with a 12kV/60mA NST and then make the necessary
component adjustments recommended by Teslamap to accomodate the new transformer,
would this mainly affect spark brightness/width or spark length (or both)?
Is it increased voltage that contributes most to spark length?
Does adding more current just make the sparks brighter, and therefore visibly
longer?
