Hey all,
We just received some wonderful books from Spain regarding the Tesla Coils of Monico Sanchez, an inventor that lived in New York a while in the 19-teens.

The experiments and Geissler/Crookes tubes are fascinating. There is also a section of Tesla phosphorescent lamps, and even a single filament lamp and selection of "Tesla" tubes. Highly interesting catalogue!
Sanchez patented a very efficient small Pancake Coil for X-Ray use that used the "kicking coil" concept:

I built one of these a few years ago, and it is surprisingly efficient for its size. A small 4" coil .75" tall embedded in wax and rosin will give a 5 - 6" spark without any problems. Note in the patent the specs - it uses a .4 mfd condenser!

A huge thanks to Juan Pablo for sending these articles and photos.
