Yes, Tesla coil RF transmitters do produce radio waves, although the 
isotropic radiated power is very low in comparison to the power input. 
Tesla coil transmitters also produce time-varying magnetic and electric 
fields, as well as earth currents.  In the case of a transmission-reception 
system consisting of two Tesla transformers, the earth current passes along 
the entire distance between the two ground terminals.

Here I was thinking that a tesla coils radiation was nothing but ordinary
