[TCML] Self Built power transformers

Someone asked, roughly:
>  Has anyone built their own Power transformer?
   One occasionally finds this mentioned in older construction articles.

   Seems is perhaps the operative word.
   Tesla made a LOT of money, for himself, and Westinghouse, knowing how to
   do this.  Its complex.

>Tesla got better results than we did.
   Sometimes, if i recall, he used commercial transformers.
    (anyone?  I could be rong.)
   We have a wider range of transformers available, off the shelf, than he did.
   It takes time, and effort to do right, mostly simpler to buy one, saving 
   'build time' for the unbuyable pieces.

   Entire books have been writ on transformer design, to do it right.
