Ken,

This would depend on how much power you'll be running, and
how long the sparks will be.? If the power and spark length is
very high, the coil should be a little taller to keep the sparks
farther from the ground and from the primary.? If you want
15 foot sparks, then the coil could be 45" tall for 954 turns.?
 You can go as high as 58" or so in height if you have plenty 
of room.? That would give about 1230 turns of wire.?
