And sure enough, this doesn't qualify as a small coil. It's large but 
driven by 4/38 power, yet very large considering what I think of as a 
small coil (2" x 7" or in that neighborhood).

So John, Karls coil really only supports large coils for power input. 
Not small coils. These are separate issues. I also just assumed the 4/20 
contest would entail small coils, but obviously not the case (which is 
perfectly acceptable for the contest).
