I'd guess, though, that thinwall aluminum irrigation tubing might 
actually be cheaper than PVC pipe and foil tape.  OTOH, ABS pipe is 
cheap, a roll of aluminum foil and some spray 77, and a bit of care.

The aluminum  tubing might also wind up being lighter weight.
