[TCML] Small DRSSTC...

I'm a bit new to this, but would like to build a small DRSSTC with my son.

We have a nice 3" torroid which I'd like to use, and I have a background as
an EE, so am not worried by the electronics side - HV is a bit new, but I'm
careful and have done my reading. I'm better with electronics than
metalwork, hence my preference for an SS approach...

I've read the MiniBrute books, but they are really geared at a rather larger
unit.

Is the MiniBrute tailorable in people's opinions to a much smaller
implementation, or would a different approach be more appropriate? Are there
any DRSSTC designs out there that people could recommend? Being new, I'm a
bit worried by starting from scratch...
