     For myself, i wouldn't.
     1) the voltages present are way more ionizing than
        the source.
     2) such sources are usually labelled:
          do not eat
        or equivalent: there is a reason for this.
        blasting little bits off the source with hv 'arcs'
        seems a good way to inhale or ingest small bits
        RADIOACTIVE source....
