[TCML] Administrivia: trimming quotes, list-lint and changing subjects

Folks: 

Please, out of respect for your fellow list members, 
take the time to trim lengthy blocks of no longer relevant 
text, mailer footers, etc. 

This takes a bit of thought: to leave enough 'context' to 
help the reader and not huge quantities of stale quotes. 
'list lint': mail headers and footers, etc. 

Please think about changing titles when the thread drifts 
substantially: 

A thread titled: 
'laquer' 
may become: 
'counterpoise, was laquer'. 

Help people find your wisdom. 

This is in the faq: there's no simple rule, your help will help.
