   Not strictly to the original thread.

   Read someplace a technique of forming tubing, to avoid crushing
   kinking:
   fill it with sand: which will allow the tube to form, while
   reducing kinking/crushing.  How (or if?) to remove sand afterwards
   is left to the imagination...

    Never had occaision to try this...
