Well, with your set-up, you have to immerse them in oil, but I'm only using 
two in series feeding a voltage doubler.  I get 10 kv before spark. and I 
really don't want to go any further.  I'm using two other MOTs in place of 
power resistors.  Enjoy your coil Ted.   Dan in Calif.
