[TCML] Musical coils

Hi John,
I have not seen it done, but I am also on a quest to make a large spark gap 
coil do just that...
My plan is to use a valve to control the DC charging of the Tank capacitor 
to force it to follow breakrates that are controlled by an audio interface.
I have also heard of people using a "triggered gap", which as far as I know 
uses a smaller supply to coax the spark gap to break down at the appropriate 
rates for audio.
I'm keen to hear of any other methods though...
