The other thing about lighting up fluorescent bulbs with a TC is that
typically you're running the TC in the dark, and to get a good "show"
you don't need to light the bulbs to full brightness. It's not like
you're duplicating the normal operating conditions.
Way back in the archives somewhere there's some posts about what field
it takes to light a fluorescent bulb (to where the glow is visible), and
it's pretty low. I'm thinking a few hundred V/meter, but don't remember
