This image shows another sync-rotary gap which was used for comparative experiments. The motor is a 1/4 HP modified induction motor, the rotor is lexan, electrodes are 3/8" steel, the framework is made of wood, and the motor can be rotated in its cradle to adjust the sync-phase.
