A friend once bought, surplus, a box of 'coax cables'.
This was far enough back that many/all had PL259
(aka CB Radio connectors).  When he needed a patch cable
he grabbed one, if it did not work, tossed it into
ANOTHER box, for eventual investigation.  Investigating,
later he found that......

(wait for it.....)



The 'defective' 'coax'(s) were SPARK PLUG wire.  Someone
had been using the PL259s as HV patch connectors....
