Without getting into lathe / alignment etc.
(a chase your tail nightmare )-------------
I would suggest simply mounting the completed
shaft /hub / rotor assembly in the lathe with a
tail-stock live center & facing both sides of the disk true
to the shaft --- The minor trimming of the glass fibers
will not weaken the disk -- as the laminations
are not disturbed ---- sand off the "fuzzies"
& coat with laquer or whatever -----
this should be a sufficient "balancing act "
for the rated speeds of the rotor.
