Chip -

 Why not go to a synchronous gap? Use a synchronous drive belt (cogged)
to transfer the energy to your rotor.


 BTW - Got the mod's finished on my new GE 3450 RMP motor. Seems to
lock into the poles just peachy. I plan to finish up the construction
of a removable (I transport the coil system all over the place for
demonstrations and such) strike rail, and hope to fire up the "new and
improved" coil system within a week or so.
