My choke fried.  It arced inside and caught on fire.  I need 2 good high 
voltage chokes.  Does anyone have any suggestion on how to make them or where 
to buy them

Talk to Robert Stevens of Linsay Scientific. He's a member of this list and constructed two very nice multi-sectional air-core chokes for my system(s). I use 'em to protect two ferro-resonate (thanks Hull) transformers and so far, so good. The chokes were well make, reasonably priced and mailed on time.

Robert's company moved and I don't have the new number handy, but, I'm sure he'll pipe up...   ...Jeff
