Scott,
You have just asked the question that differentiates the scientist from
the masses. This question is the one which generates all the smaller
questions that might be answered to bring about the answer to the
original question. In other words, anyone who can answer your last
question in whole is someone who is beyond the kin and ability of the
people on this list. I don't mean to denigrate anyone on this list, but
if anyone knew everything that is not understood about any topic, it
would only be a matter of time and experimentation to find the answers.
The greatest contribution anyone makes to this list is not the answer to
a question, but the proper question to ask.
