Sorry so late in responding. I'm not sure of the turns - it 22awg enamel
coated wire around a 3.5" OD pvc pipe, 15" in length. I have several
configurations I use for the whole setup, the first one is: .007uF
capacitor, small sphere(about 6-8" diam) and I get about 5-6" of free
discharge. Next, I use .013uF and a large toroid of 4" stove piping and
don't get much free discharge but if I give it a ground it arcs a heavy
white bolt to the ground that is much louder than the first config.

Any comments/suggestions about my small coil?
