Hi ...
        C and H surplus in Pasadena - 800 325-9465 -
has alot of new in the box GE Capacitors 0.5 uF 45 kV.
Part No. 30F1591.

GE says they are filter caps used in a radar,
since replaced by Part No. 14L61WH. I asked if they
could be used to drive a spark gap, but they want more
details before they commit themselves. I will provide
more info and see what happens.

Has anyone tried these in a coil? Two in series
would give 0.25 -at- 90 kV , requiring a robust transformer,
but for those at the 20 kW level, maybe useful. They are
$100 ea.
