Manhattan Beach, November 17, 1997: Digital Design Laboratories
Special Effects Division and "The Lightning Guy" Brent Turner merge to
create kVA Effects. kVA Effects specializes in the design, construction
and operation of Tesla coils, the high voltage generators that create
lightning and electrical discharge effects in television, film and theater.
kVA Effects' inventory now includes five Tesla coils enabling them to
provide clients with a variety of electrical discharge effects including
continuous arcing of over six feet in length.

Jeff W. Parisse becomes kVA's Director while Brent Turner accepts
the responsibilities of Chief Engineer. Franklin Londin will continue
in his role as Art Director as will Industrial Designer Nick Ritter,
Engineer Chris Olivas and Gaffer Michael LaViolette. Anette Roth will
now serve as Graphic Artist and Maatin Roth becomes Materials Engineer.

In keeping with the public service traditions established by both
merged companies, kVA Effects will continue to produce "The Lightning
Guy" lecture and demonstration series. This highly acclaimed lecture
series serves to promote math and science education and is available
pro-bono to public schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

kVA's six minute video "Introducing kVA Effects" contains many scenes
of Tesla coil applications including an extended segment of Brent Turner
throwing three and four foot bolts of lightning from his fingertips as he
sits
atop a two million volt electrified platform. The video is available in VHS
or
.AVI formats. For more information or to order the video for $9.95 plus CA
state sales tax, please call 1-800-796-1138.
