I have never really been satisfied with capillary bonding of plexiglass,
I prefer to paint a film of methylene chloride on to the areas to be joined 
and wait a minute or so and repaint it, ect untill the surface gets tacky.
then I put the pieces together, clamp them and allow to cure over night.
This method has worked best for me and I also use it when I make plexiglass 
fish tanks and none have ever leaked on me!
