Hi Malcolm,

I don't use any chokes.  Discharges are of high quality in my opinion.
Blue-white, and bolt-like.  I use a small director on the toroid to aim
them toward my measuring ground wire.  I haven't scoped the output
lately for RF characteristics, I'll have to check my notes.
