Tesla's "induction-less coils" are great for making precission 
wire-wound resistors that will posses only D.C. resistance ie no
reactance what so ever. BUT they will not make a magnetic field.
They are made by taking a length of wire and folding it in half and 
then starting with the looped end wound onto it's form. When current
is applied to the two leads the magnetic field around the wire is 
cancelled out thus no inductance and no magnetic field.
