days to reduce the moisture content.  "

	After drying it that way you can soak it in (near) boiling
paraffin wax for a while, which will drive out the air, evaporate
the last bits of moisture, and leave it in pretty neat shape.  You
have to be careful to keep the wax cool enough that it doesn't
char the wood, and be prepared for some dimensional changes due to
the heating and drying.  Pine works fine, as it will absorb the
wax pretty well.  Have used this technique for many years, for
such things as coil forms, transmission line spreaders, battery
jar tops, and even TC primary support forms.
